The Adult High Waist Pleated Skirt Pattern allows you to easily sew the latest style in woven fabrics. Yet, this classic silhouette will work for years to come!

This trendy zippered skirt includes options for:

• short (mid-thigh) length
• long (just above knee) length

Also included is a knit shorts pattern meant to be worn underneath the skirt. We added the shorts to keep you warm and able to move around freely. 

The instructions include all the extra steps (with clear photos!) to finish the woven seams professionally. Extra attention is paid to the insertion of the zipper as we know that can be scary to master as a beginner sewist.

Sizes:

This PDF sewing pattern comes in sizes XXS - 7XL. This pattern was drafted for our Curvy Fit Size Chart that is drafted for the height of 5’5”/165.10 cm. The instructions include steps for adjusting the pattern for height differences if needed.

For this pattern you pick your size by your true waist size (a bit above your belly button) and you don’t need to grade for hip size. When your hip size is larger than your waist size, pick the waist size but DO NOT stitch the pleats down. When your hip size is smaller than your waist size you won’t have to change anything.

Fabric Recommendation:

This pattern is designed to be made using woven or sturdy knit fabrics. The fabric you pick needs to be able to hold the pleats. You can pretest this by ironing a sample fabric as you would a pleat.
