Made this shirt for my four year old grandson’s birthday and of course at the last minute. It worked out great...clear instructions and easily put together. He loved it. Helped that the main fabric was dinosaurs and a panel of pickle green. He loves both dinosaurs and pickles! I’ll be making this again.
I made two rashguards: A size 8 and a size 4t. These are true to size and actually comparable to RTW sizing. I liked the simplicity of the pattern. The kids liked that they had tops that matched their trunks. The sleeve length options are great.
I’ve made this pattern 8 times for my grandbabies. It is a favorite and so easy to follow. The fit is true and even though this pattern is a looser fit I tend to size up one size so it lasts into the next year. The ones I made 2 years ago are still worn to the beach and swimming lessons. The sleeves no longer reach to the wrists and are 3/4 sleeves lol but the girls insist on wearing them. The new ones haven’t been tried on yet as their mom’s are saving them for the summer. Can’t wait to get photos.
I haven't made this yet seems like I'm always waiting for fabric to arrive. But I have no doubt that the instructions are going to be easy to follow as I have tons and tons of other Ellie & Mac patterns and have never had any issue with any of them!!! Also, all of their patterns are spot on for fit as long as you go by the child's measurements. I love every single one of their patterns I can't seem to get enough!

I liked the pattern. As usual, it sewed up really nice and easy. I made used regular knit...I think cotton spandex, because I could not find the correct material. But my grandson liked it!
