Great pattern and a very quick sew. Great for beginners and came together in no time at all. Instructions on site were once again invaluable.
One of my favourite will make a lot more
I love this top! I also love how roomy it is and the length. My shorts in the picture or 5” and the back is almost covered completely. This would be a good top to wear with leggings as well. I used a cupro Pique Jersey from Surge Fabrics. I’m also so glad that there is a video to go along with this since I can really confuse myself despite the illustrated directions. I also used the side tie hack on your blog. Thank you for all the videos!
I love how the finished product looked based on the YouTube video I watched. However, after watching it too many times to count, I could not get the twist to work out. I ended up with a big raw-edged hole, and no amount of fussing with it would fix it. Because it was longer than I liked, I decided to cut off the twist part and put a plain hemline on it, but then it looked pretty mis-shapened. I love twist tops - I have several I purchased from stores, and was really disappointed with myself, because mine certainly didn’t turn out like it did in the video.
I have looked for a year for a pattern that would show me how to make the twisted knot in a shirt without having to sew in an extra piece. I FINALLY FOUND IT! Thanks for the great instructions and images to teach me how to figure out what I couldn't do on my own.
