Pattern worked out great. I made a jacket for a figure skater out of spandex. I know that wasn’t the intended fabric and it still worked great!

Jacket turned out awesome had to extend the length of the arms and make them wider at the bicep, pattern finished measurements weren’t correct.

Knit jacket pattern

The pattern generally went together well although the body measurements suggested didn’t really align with the pattern. I had to make my jackets with a smaller cutting line than the body measurements suggested.
A few more traditional pattern marking would be helpful. Especially on collar and neck and facing parts.

I love my blazer

I have never sewn a blazer before, so I was really nervous. I made some mistakes but I found the pattern really well written and the video tutorial was my absolute sacing grace.

Another fantastic pattern

I thought being a blazer that this would be quite tricky but the instructions and matching you tube tutorial made it easy like all other Ellie & Mac patterns.
I would say it runs a little big so I did do some alterations to fit me perfectly but that's the beauty of making your own clothes.

Much easier than expected

I have now made 2 of these elevated blazers. I’m about to make a third for my sister. It seemed so complicated when I first looked at it. Yes, there are a lot of parts to cut out and looks scary (I’ve been sewing less than a year) however, the instructions and the helpful YouTube video, made this a project that is not difficult to achieve. I even felt brave enough to grade the pattern. It’s well worth the price, a jacket you’ll be proud to wear

Excellent!

This pattern is fabulous! The instructions are so easy to follow and of course the back up of the video with Diana just makes the whole experience of making the jacket enjoyable. I haven’t used a button and don’t think I will on my first (practice) jacket! I am currently cutting out another in a size smaller and will include a button. I’m sure I will be making many more of these.

Great pattern

I love this pattern. It's so easy to make and the fit is really good. I loved it so much I made two and I'm planning to make more. The fact is made of knit fabric makes it great to pack for traveling.

The Elevated Blazer - a fab addition to your wardrobe!

I loved the proportions of this jacket and it was a straight forward sew. I made a black one in Scuba and I’m on the look out for a more summery fabric to make another one soon. Recommended!

Perfect!!

I’ve been looking into how to make a jacket exactly like this and the pattern couldn’t have came at a more perfect time. I have made 2 jackets so far, one with my own twist (interior fabric) and I’m really looking forward to making many more. This pattern is the greatest.

Amazingly easy

I made 2 jackets, The 1st was a practice run. It turned out really good despite the fabric being too stretchy. I've had many compliments about it. The 2nd I used bengaline. The design is so slimming. I just love it.

I have now made two of these blazers and love this pattern. The first one I made is black knit fabric and I used gold buttons to make it look more formal. It’s so comfortable. The second one I made using a red stretch velvet to wear at Christmas. Can’t wait to show it off!
