I've already made this dress three different times and get compliments every time I wear it! I am a size small usually and made a size small, it fit great but I did have to bring in the waist area an extra half inch for a bit more definition
This was an easy pattern to sew, so quick to put together and absolutely love the fit. I have already made 4 of these, 2 for me and 2 for my daughter
I think I'm obsessed with this patter I usually have to do a full bust adjustment and a fill bicep adjustment on all my patterns but I only had to do a full bicep adjustment oh I lengthen it by 1 inch this pattern is easy and quick I can make this in 1 hour using my serger and cover stitch machine

I would like to show you a pretty simple dress. It sews quickly and gives a nice effect. The pattern offers several options of cut and sleeve. I chose to make the shortest size and the shortest sleeves for the summer. Accessible to beginners.
This is one of my favorite dress patterns! I could live in it it’s so comfortable but so flattering at the same time. It goes together so quick and easy and the instructions are fantastic, as usual.
This pattern was easy to follow, and easy to make. I followed the directions and measurements listed, but the chest/arms are tighter than I like. Looking at the pictures, that is how the dress is supposed to fit. I personally just don’t like my sleeves hugging my armpits. Also, If you are tall you need to add more length than the pattern suggests. I added 2 full inches (I’m 5’9” and the pattern is for someone who is 5’5”. The pattern instructs to add 1/2” for every inch over the listed height.) With the added 2” the dress was barely long enough. If I make this dress again I will definitely be making adjustments. I suggest sizing up for the “t-shirt” top portion of the dress and keeping your regular size for the skirt portion of the pattern (the sides hang lower than the front of the dress, so if you want the sides and front to be the same the hem needs to be adjusted.) The front of the dress hit about two inches above my knee, while the sides fell well below my knees.
Directions are easy to follow, it doesn’t take very much time, and it’s very comfortable! I made some adjustments to the neckline, added some length, and narrowed the flare, and it turned out great!

I have only ever made one other pattern from Ellie & Mac (Breezy Dress) and just LOVED how it fit straight out of the packet/printer, so I have purchased a load more. This is no exception on fit, it was as if it was drafted for me personally. However, my problem is that I am a lady in my later years of life and I'm not sure that the 'up and down' of the modern hemlines are quite me, so I straightened mine. And I think that might be why, it hangs strangely on me at the sides? Or, it could be that it is a true t-shirt fabric and doesn't quite have the drape needed to carry the style of the dress off. Having said all that, I AM learning to love it! Every time I put it on, I like it more and more! I will make my next one (yes, I will be making more) in a drapier fabric . . . perhaps a viscose jersey! I WILL definitely be making more Ellie & Mac's, that's for sure!
This is an amazing pattern! I have already made two of these and am so in love. I even was able to make my own modifications to customize it to what I wanted. I had two Lularoe maxi skirts that I never wore so I used those to make these dresses.

I am mom to a medically fragile special needs now adult daughter and I sew for many medically fragile customers. So when a customer asked for style, I knew I had to come to Ellie and Mac to find what I needed! This pattern is perfect with all the options for sleeves etc. she need 3/4 inch sleeves and adult medium but the length had to be shorter because of the way her child walked. I was able to customize this pattern simply by cutting the shorter length at the bottom of the pattern . Thank you Ellie and Mac for such a great versatile pattern ! My customer has one happy young lady with all 6 of her dresses!!!

I always have the pdf printed professionally with colour print, otherwise the sizes can blur a bit when tracing
