Straight Fit Basic Tee Sewing Pattern (Updated)

Eindelijk een goed patroon gevonden voor mijn man!! Ik maakte er ineens 2 en een 3de ligt geknipt. Dankjewel 🙂

This is a great pattern, though the extension instructions for the taller person could be clearer as I made the top way too long having added the recommended length to the bottom of the pattern and it nearly. Amy to my husbands knees 😂. IRS still a bit long but perfect to sleep in and to keep the bottom of his back warm in winter.

I made this pattern 3 times for my husband for Christmas in spun poly fabric. The first T-shirt I cut, I followed the instructions for shortening the T-shirt on the pattern pieces but it came out too short- he is fairly average in the body but short in the leg. But the next two I made, I kept the body full length and it was perfect. Very easy to follow pattern and I love how easy it was to stick the paper pattern together, by far the easiest one I’ve put together.

This is an easy pattern to follow and as usual has comprehensive instructions. Quick and easy. Made many of these.

I've done 2 for my son and 1 for me. My son likes them and me too. Now I will make them With long arms for the winter.

It's such a go to pattern. Excellent sew and size is spot on. I love E&M

A fab, very easy make. Sizing is great and fits lovely. I did find when making the Xs the neckband per the pattern was a little too long so does not lay completely flat. Easy fix though, will just shorten it a little next time .

My partner loves it, perfect fit and finally a t shirt that's long enough.

I really enjoy the fact that to date all of the E&M patterns fit perfectly. Use your measurements, take them frequently to make sure they have not changed and then just Enjoy 😊

Good sizing, very easy to make, fabulous all round tee shirt.

This pattern is definitely a must have. My husband loves the fit of it, and now he wants one in every color!

So quick and easy, fits perfectly and he loves it, just wants a logo embroidered on it now! I can see many more in my future, what have I started🥴

I have made this t-shirt for my husband and grandson. It’s great ‘ go-to’ pattern for a quick make.

I made this for my husband; my first time working with stretch fabric. I found the pattern really easy to follow, and thanks to the Facebook group a lot less scary than it might have been. I sewed this up in just a couple of hours - would have been less if I’d trusted my instincts, but I checked and double checked every step. My second one only took me an hour, and husband is very happy with both. He likes his tees very baggy, which suits me fine as (a) I didn’t need to fit it and (b) it’ll also work over my generous shape too!

So easy to sew and the fitting was very comfortable. I and my husband loved it. I will make more for my boys.

The men's Basic Tee worked great for me and fit my husband well without any modifications! I added a self drafted woven pocket to create coordinating outfits for our family, and we all loved the outcome.

Sizing is spot on and the pattern comes together so fast! I love that it isn’t a paper waster, either, and doesn’t take forever to put together. The wide range of sizes is awesome. It’s a keeper!

My Husband was so happy with the fit of this T-shirt. I liked all the different options for customization as well. As always we’re happy with another Ellie and Mac pattern.
