What Makes Petunia So Versatile:
Choose from Three Lengths:
Create the Petunia that works for your wardrobe:
• Peplum
• Mid-Thigh Length
• Above-Knee Length
The peplum pairs beautifully with pants, jeans, or skirts, while the longer options create an all-in-one outfit.
Shaped with Princess Seams:
Princess seams run through the bodice to create its fitted shape and defined waist. They give Petunia its distinctive lines while providing smooth shaping through the bust.
Four Sleeve Choices:
Change the personality of your Petunia simply by switching the sleeves. Choose:
• Cap Sleeve
• Short Puff Sleeve
• 3/4 Puff Sleeve
• Long Puff Sleeve
The cap sleeve keeps the silhouette streamlined, while the puff sleeves add volume at the shoulder for a more noticeable design detail.
Two Ways to Finish the Neckline:
Choose between a neckband or binding for the neckline. Both finishes are included in the pattern, giving you another way to customize your garment.
Designed for Heavier Stretch Knits:
Petunia is drafted for heavier knit fabrics with at least 40% 2-way stretch. Fabrics with some structure are especially well suited to the princess seams and help the peplum and dress shapes hold their form.
Print or Project—Your Choice:
Layered pattern files are included in Letter, A4, A0, and projector formats, making it easy to choose the cutting method that works for you.

A Perfect Fit for You
This pattern is designed for our Curvy Fit Size Chart, drafted for a height of 5'5"/165.10 cm. We've also included simple instructions to help you adjust the pattern for different heights, ensuring a perfect fit.

Fabric Recommendation:
Petunia is designed for heavy knit fabrics with at least 40% 2-way stretch. Choose a knit with good recovery and enough body to support the princess seams, puff sleeves, and peplum or dress shape.
Great fabric choices include: Ponte knit, Liverpool knit, Scuba knit, Double knit, Jacquard knit or other stable, medium-to-heavyweight stretch knits with the required stretch.
For a more structured Petunia, choose a fabric with plenty of body. For a softer silhouette, look for a knit with a little more drape while still meeting the stretch requirement.
Avoid lightweight or very fluid knits, as they may not provide enough structure to showcase Petunia’s shaped seams and silhouette.
Choose soft and drapey for elegance, or structured knits for a bold silhouette.
