Really easy to make - love the result

I’m quite new to sewing. I’ve been making lots of shirts and wanted something a bit quicker & easier. This is it! I made long sleeves with the front pleat. Very quick to make, and it’s really easy to adjust pleat to fit perfectly.

Not terribly impressed with the pattern, also don’t like the asymmetry of the pleat. I would turn it into a box pleat instead, which would help negate the weird overlap in the neckline from the way the designer did the pleat. Would not make again without fixing:
Extra 1/2” sleeve length so I could properly finish the sleeve hems without turning them into bracelet length sleeves.
Raise the armsyce so it doesn’t impinge movement.
The front pleat.
Distribute the sleeve gathers more to the front so they don’t puff behind me as much.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and suggestions. We truly appreciate your thoughtful feedback and are always looking for ways to help our customers achieve great results. Every sewist has their own style and fit preferences, and we love seeing how our patterns inspire creativity and customization.

How much fabric is needed for the Penelope Blouse? I did not find this information in the booket. Thanks,

Ellie and Mac

Hi. The product description includes the fabric requirements chart for all patterns and you can also find the Penelope chart on page 11 of the instruction file. I hope this help. Happy sewing!
