My first dress!! Well I didn t mesure properly so the bodice was too tight. I had to enlarge it with 2 bands on thé side. I think though that next Time i ll make it longer because it doesn t flatter my mummy belly….otherwise I enjoyed making it! Thanks for this nice pattern !!
This dress pattern was great! It was easy to sew and has a perfect fit.
This is the first pattern I have worked from, my first time sewing with stretch, my first time to sew bands, pockets…., but everything was very straightforward - I like the video tutorial. I used a basic sewing machine for the whole dress on a regular stitch setting with a stretch needle. I’m 5’7” - I added the extra length to the skirt only (as opposed to dividing it between bodice and skirt as suggested on the pattern). Everything worked out great - I printed the pattern at a copy shop to save a lot of time. I need to work on my gathering technique as my machine doesn’t have very large size stitches but other than that it was very simple. I bought 2 metres of this Jocelyn Proust fabric to make the XS Size pattern. It’s 4 way stretch rayon/spandex, the weight is 240GSM and it’s perfect for this dress. There is enough left over to make something else 😊
I just finished my Monday morning dress. I made it in a lovely purple. Absolutely pleased with it. I lengthened the bodice 1 inch, not because I’m taller than 5’5” but because my torso is longer. I love it.
Very easy pattern to follow , fiddly waist to join though ( beginner ) and size when cut seemed small .. I added sleeves (sweetie pie) , lovely dress though I made 2

I love this pattern, the easy instructions (with pictures) and the style is amazing. I used a light weight viscous fabric and it was perfect, I will be trying a different fabric next time. Ellie and Mac you did it again fab pattern x I would highly recommend this

I’ve made this dress in two versions lower and higher necklines I did hack it a little by putting two inverted pleats rather than the gathering which and adding some length to it which I found more flattering for someone of my age

This dress is a quick and easy sew and very flattering. I made it over the weekend and wore it on a Monday and my mood was instantly lifted! I used double brushed poly and added length to the skirt for my 5'8" height (mostly in the legs).
