It turns out I don't actually like this style of jacket for myself, but the project was fun and though I didn't love it my daughter did, so it wasn't a waste!
Pay attention to the "mirroring" of the pieces, that could have been clearer, but overall it was simple to cut and assemble and I only had to recut 1 piece. I have consistently regretted lengthening E&M patterns, though I should have lengthened this one for it to fit me better. Other than that, great pattern - much simpler than expected. The hardest part was cutting it out properly!
There were a few points at which I wanted to throw this whole thing away, but the end result was beautiful. The only thing I struggled with was the language on the pattern pieces for lining/main fabric. There was a warning in the instructions, but I ended up with my lining showing (when unzipped) on the over bust lining pieces. My daughter ended up loving having the lining show, but it was a little frustrating in the moment.
This has been a very good pattern. Thank-you
really cute jacket and not as difficult as I tought
I loved making this jacket for my sister’s birthday. I’m hoping she likes it, but I adore it.
This pattern looks like it is very complex but the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. They even tell you how to adjust your zip so it fits perfectly. However, you do need players and a strong hand to do this, but it is do-able I decided to make a toile out of some unwanted curtains, and was so pleased with the result that it is now my favourite jacket, and receives compliments every time I wear it. I will make this one again.
Made the moto jacket size 2xl but it was a little big on me found som fabric i had home and sew of the midle part for the sleven and the back and the rest in the front going to make one more in a smaler size to the pants are the god vibes jogger
Je n’ai pas eu la chance de la faire actuellement mais les instructions sont clair comme toujours. J’ai très hâte de trouver le bon tissu pour l’essayer.
I love this jacket, so much so that I'm going to make another! Don't be intimidated by the pattern, take your time and you won't be disappointed.
I was super intimated when I started this pattern. But I took it one step at a time and watched the video available and it turned out amazing!
