Easier Than Expected

It turns out I don't actually like this style of jacket for myself, but the project was fun and though I didn't love it my daughter did, so it wasn't a waste!

Pay attention to the "mirroring" of the pieces, that could have been clearer, but overall it was simple to cut and assemble and I only had to recut 1 piece. I have consistently regretted lengthening E&M patterns, though I should have lengthened this one for it to fit me better. Other than that, great pattern - much simpler than expected. The hardest part was cutting it out properly!

Moto jacket

I followed the video instructions for this. I got a little lost on the collar section. I would cut the pocket shorter as there is too much bulk at the hem. Shorter by a centimetre. The fit was a bit big but i used a stretch denim and i dont think it was a suitable fabric for the jacket.

Loved this make

I made this using scuba and it turned out a treat. The instructions are easy to follow and overall I was really pleased with the end result.

Enjoyable sewing project

Made the Moto Jacket this week, have never worked with pocket zips or open ended zips so enjoyed the challenge. The instructions were easy to follow, and all three zips look a treat. I used heavyweight scuba and it worked a treat.

I did two rows of stitching on the collar/neck and it looked lovely. Overall a nice project and I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Estella (from the Cruella movie) costume!

There were a few points at which I wanted to throw this whole thing away, but the end result was beautiful. The only thing I struggled with was the language on the pattern pieces for lining/main fabric. There was a warning in the instructions, but I ended up with my lining showing (when unzipped) on the over bust lining pieces. My daughter ended up loving having the lining show, but it was a little frustrating in the moment.

Its Curtains for the Moto Jacket....

This pattern looks like it is very complex but the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. They even tell you how to adjust your zip so it fits perfectly. However, you do need players and a strong hand to do this, but it is do-able I decided to make a toile out of some unwanted curtains, and was so pleased with the result that it is now my favourite jacket, and receives compliments every time I wear it. I will make this one again.
