As a bigger lady with a big bust I was hesitant to buy this but once I made it up I couldn't have been happier with how it looks and feels on.
I got this pattern to make a top for a friend and when I saw it on her I had to make one (okay two) for myself. I made one in soft lightweight cotton jersey which looks and feels amazing. The other I used a woven chiffony type fabric (can't remember exact type) which I was seriously in love with ... however forgot that I would need to size up to allow for the lack of stretch - no worries, last night I hacked a bit off the armscye and now fits perfectly :D :D
I am roughly a size 26-30 UK measurements and this does not in any way feel like a 'sack', it is extremely flattering and I feel very feminine and keep twirling (which is NOT doing anything for my vertigo!). Highly recommended.

This is a VERY easy pattern to put together into a swingy and fun top!! Not just for summer either as you can wear it under a cardi for the cooler months :) I used a bamboo lycra for this top and it's really, really twirly and swingy! I'm 62 yrs and you're never, ever too old for a twirly, swingy top!!!

I usually wear a 3X but that was too small. Should have fit pattern to body first. Final product was great and an easy sew.

I made a Lucy swing top for my sister who is XXL. It was an easy sew and was very flattering on her. It hides the tum. She loves it. Now I want to make one for myself with sleeves as seen in Diana's hack. I do recommend this pattern.
This is a very, very easy pattern for a basic top. I love the swing and the sizing was right on. I think the 1/4" seam allowance is difficult to work with and if you have the skillset, I would recommend doing a facing for the arm and neck holes.

Lucy Swing Top Pattern
I love it, I'm a PLUS size, with big arms (and tummy/hips/derrière), and I hate wearing tank tops in Summer because I feel exposed, and this top, even if my arms are exposed, is so fun that it makes me feel more confident. I did make it a bit longer to cover my bum a bit better, and it just looks fantastic! I made a 2nd one a couple days later, and eyeing some fabric for perhaps a third one or a house dress... the dilemma, do I make another Lucy Swing Top or do I make something else from all your patterns? BIG decisions!!!
