Around the Block Hoodie Sewing Pattern (kids)

I bought the adult Around the Block hoodie a while ago and it is my absolutely most-loved, most-used pattern, so I ended up getting the kids one when my niece moved back to town, and just as I expected, the sizing was spot-on, the pattern is beyond easy to use, and came out better than I imagined. I can't say enough amazing things about this pattern, it is a MUST-HAVE!

I use this with the projector pattern (I love e&m for projector files). It’s a really easy pattern to follow. And the split design makes it great for scraps and also much cheaper if you want to buy new fabric - you can choose to buy a little for stripes but still make a big impact. The first one I placed the fabric face down so it was easier to see. This could have been a problem but I remembered to do the same with the contrast fabric so it just ended up with the middle strip going across the opposite way. I’ve made 3 so far. With more planned to use up scraps. I’ve also made a ladies one for me

I enjoy this pattern very much. I can't wait to make a matching one for my nursing to match my nursing hacked around the block!

I made this hoodie for my daughter in January and immediately had to make them for my son and her friend. Its such a nice style! It fits very straight, so for the teens I sized up a size to give them a more oversized look.

I made this for my granddaughter and it’s leading to many more in the future! I love Ellie and Mac patterns and certainly have a large collection.

Absolutely my favourite pattern goes together beautiful I love when seams match up perfectly my kids love their hoodies and wear them all the time

This pattern is adorable and fit my daughter great. I like to go up one size in width so it is roomy and comfy. I also added a ruffle for extra fun. Perfect to coordinate with the adult pattern for when she wants to match Mama too.

Love that there are patterns in the youth and adult sizes! I made matching ones for my two year old and I! The pattern was easy to follow and it sewed up nicely! Just make sure to keep your parts organized because this pattern has a lot of parts!

I just love how this fits my daughter ❤️. It wasn’t too difficult to sew either! I only wish there were some sort of modification I could use to make the neckline easier to get over her head ... like snaps. She loves to wear it but hates putting it on and taking it off.

I was a bit dubious about how this would turn out but the instructions were really clear and I was really pleased with the result. The only thing I would say is that I made age six which was on the small side so would size up if I was making it again. Lovely pattern though.

A very cute and easy sew that makes using up leftover fabric a breeze and a joy! And paired with the adult Around the Block makes for an awesome Parent and Mini Set!

Love how easy this hoodie came together and how well it fit my girls. I made 2 (one in size 4 and one in size 6).

I was nervous to start making this pattern, it looks complicated! But it’s far from it. So easy to sew up, especially with the video tutorials. Next project is a matching hoodie for me!

I love this pattern! I've made a couple already for 2 of my grandsons and have another one cut out and ready to put together. The pattern is nice and clear and easy to follow.

Le patron est très bien expliqué. Les grandeurs étaient similaires à ce que ma fille porte en magasin. J'ai fais quelques erreurs avec les nombreuses pièces à découper mais sinon J'aime beaucoup le résultat et ma fille aussi :-)
The pattern is very well explained. The sizes were similar to what my daughter wears in store. I made some mistakes with the many pieces to cut but otherwise I really like the result and my daughter too:-)

This was the first hoodie I've ever successfully done! Easy to hack to make it panel friendly! In my eagerness to sew it up, I did make a minor error on the line matching, but that was totally my fault. I'm going to make many more because this is perfect for scrap busting!

I love making cloth for my kids.. And this one turn out awesome..

This pattern is made for color blocking and is very simple to use and understand. I made some adjustments to how many blocks there were and it worked out great!

Great fit, awesome unique look! I'll be making many more of these for sure! As always, instructions were very easy to follow.
