I have made this pattern up twice for my son. It's so well drafted, but easy to blend between sizes for growing boys, without disrupting the design lines. I could easily add the scrunched up cuffs he likes and he and I get so many comments on them.
This took much longer to cut and mark than to sew (about 1 1/2 hours). I love the results. Lots of pieces, but looks great. Just be sure to pay attention and Mark - mark - mark the pieces.
I've made this little hoodie once so far and plan on making it again. It got lots of compliments. I bought the adult one too and have had several requests from adults to make as well. I felt like there were lots of pieces to cut out which was a little daunting. I'm tracing onto freezer paper and then cutting so I kind of have to give myself a pep-talk before I dive in. I knew I wasn't ready for draw strings and grommets so I skipped that part. But I still struggled with hood placement. It looks a little wonky, but my 4 year old still likes it, and I was able to use a lot of scraps from other projects and get a different fun look. And like I said, I'm planning to make more.
This is a quick easy pattern with great color blocking - it fits well and looks great!
