Sizes:

Fabric Recommendation:
This pattern is most successful when 50%, 4-way knit fabrics with good recovery are used.  If the fabric has much more than 50%, the garment may fit looser and appear less structured.  If the fabric has much less stretch, the garment will fit tighter and not drape as well. Fabric options may include, but are not limited to: Cotton Lycra, Bamboo French Terry, Stretch Hacci, and polyester blends.

Features:

Midi or knee length

Cowl or hood

Optional pockets

Side vents

No trim pattern pieces

Perfect dress

The dress is very nice, it has a lot of options, the pattern is very easy, instructions are clear. I love it.

Super cute dress pattern

I made the midi length version with the hood option and cut the sleeves short. It turned out cute and comfortable. A great dress for spring and fall! I used a thick ribbed knit. I didn't line the hood, just hemmed and attached it. Great pattern!

Simple sew great look

I made the hipster as a comfy but cute work from home dress and it ticks all the boxes. Had a bit of problem with where the pockets were placed as made me look hippy but ill fix that in my next one because there will be another.

Perfect gift for my sister.

I just made this as a gift for my sister who feels the cold terribly. She loves tunic length things so I adapted it to suit and made it out of a gorgeous fluffy alpine fleece which is knitted finish on the outside and fluffy and warm on the inside.
Very easy pattern to put together just using my serger/overlocker.
I'll be tracing off my size next!

Comfortable fit

I love this pattern and the options it has but the way the hips are designed the sizing didn't match the fit. I had to take in about four inches at the hips. I used Cotton Lycra and opted to add a bottom band instead of the slits. I am going to make this dress again using a jersey knit instead so that it flows better. I love my new Hipster dress with all the changes.

Fantastic

First time to make this long dress with hoodie. I absolutely loved it. Thank you

Lovely line, with just the right amount of ease.

This dress has the perfect line. It is neither too close nor too baggy. I first made one size which was too big, then went down a size and did a full bust adjustment. I am very happy with the fit. The dress is called Hipster Dress in the heading but on the actual pattern it is called Hoodie Dress. Also the pockets on the pattern have a straight edge that is longer than the space between the pocket markers. They also look different to the pockets in the drawing of how to sew up the sides. I omitted pockets in the final version. I also left out the side slit to make it even simpler. I will definitely make another one, probably with shorter sleeves.

Another great pattern from E and M, have not sewn my dress although I have cut it out and am preparing for sewing, so far so good.

Love It!

This pattern has quickly become one of my favs. I’ve made two long sleeve maxi versions (with hood) out of sweatshirt fleece that I absolutely love. Perfect addition for fall…great with sneakers and even better with my Uggs. This is an easy sew. Definitely making a few more.

minor adjustment

For women with slightly larger arms the sleeves would have been way too tight if I had not measured first. :)

This made me an EAM convert

I have not sewn for myself since my university days, but I was inspired by some finding some merino jersey dead stock. Easy care merino clothing is having a moment but it’s quite spendy. So I sewed up a tunic length version with hood and pockets and love having a wool garment for a fraction of the cost. Easy to sew - size charts were accurate and instructions were clear and easy to follow. Looking forward to many more EAM makes!

So easy!

This is an easy pattern to follow. I’ve made three: two tunics and one dress. I did shorten the cowl neck a little as I thought it was too big for me. Check out the YouTube video too. It’s very helpful.

Very happy

I finally got round to making this, having planned it for months. I was in a hurry, and just couldn't work out how the cowl neck worked, so gave up and did a plain bias neck, but everything else went together so well that I didn't mind. It's extremely comfortable to wear, and I received many compliments. I'm planning to make another, with a hood, and I'll make sure that I have the time to study the directions properly. It's a really lovely pattern.

Looks very comfy. Still yet to make.

Cool

Had such fun sewing this up. The side vents were a little fiddly to topstitch for me as Im only a beginner. I chose to do mine with pockets however I dont like how they look with the fabric I chose, next time Im making one without pockets. Overall easy pattern.
