This PDF sewing pattern comes in sizes XXS - 6XL.
This pattern was drafted for our Curvy Fit Size Chart that is drafted for the height of 5’5”/165.10 cm. The instructions include steps for adjusting the pattern for height differences if needed.
Fabric Recommendation:
This pattern was designed to be made using fabrics with 50% 4-way stretch knit fabrics with a nice drape and good recovery.
Flowy fabrics with drape with a good recovery work best. For example: DBP, Rayon Viscose, Rayon Spandex, etc. Cotton Lycra fabrics can work too, but be really careful with the drape and weight.

I absolutely love the Diana dress I have made myself 4 of them in different colours and styles I currently have 5 on order for my family and friends but I busy sewing up the baby sleep sack which I’m also in love with. In fact Ellie and Mac is my favourite all round price ideas versatility 😜
Like every Ellie & Mac pattern, the Diana is easy to follow and amazingly written. The finished product is so cute. It's not my usual style but I couldn't resist it. I made a peplum length top for my first attempt and the fit is perfect.
I used Ellie and Mac for the first time and I think the Diana dress is fabulous.
I believe this might be my fastest make after purchasing a pattern. I have already made 2 of the 3 versions (a dress and top). I have another all cut out ready to sew. The directions are excellent and if you are a little lost look for the youtube sew alongs. Your finished item will get all the interest. Every time I wear one of these makes people ask me where I purchased the dress.
The range of sizes and all the different looks you can achieve with just this one pattern are amazing. Change the neckline, change the sleeves, change the length - it is perfection.

This pattern really packs a punch! I am so happy with how this turned out. I can’t wait to try all the different options. This pattern is definitely one I will go to again and again. It has something for everyone.

Versatile and easy to sew! A must have!
I made the long sleeved knee length scoop neck option in a viscose jersey. Love the lined bodice. Excellent instructions. The dress seems a little big, even though I chose the size based on the measurement chart. I blame this on my fabric choice so next time(and there will be a next time!) I will size down. A very wearable dress, can be dressed up or down. Looking forward to making another version.
Instructions are brilliant as usual, obviously lots of gathering to do, just a little bulky around the midriff for me which I can do without
