Inspires creativity and scrap-busting

I made the original straight to pattern. Easy peasy. I had to order wooden rings from a certain famous on-line compaany, but they're inexpensive. To note: the bib is more of a drool bib for newborns, but it's easy enough to use that pattern as a template to enlarge the bib. If you use woven fabric, you can even add a crumb-catcher pouch at the bottom (just cut 2 1" high pieces of fabric with iron-on interfacing between and sew them to one side). You can also do a lot with those rabbit ears. I also made a sensory one (piece of the bag that holds cereal in the box) and plans to make a rattle. You could also add several "pairs" that have different colors and textures (might need to make the thin part more narrow) and put them all on a ring for a sensory experience. I won't show it because it didn't come out great, but I had fabric scraps from 2 E&M curved hem tank tops but only enough for one side of a bib, so I cut one of the lemon print and one of the orange print (same design in 2 different varieties - lemons for me and oranges for my daughter) and bound then with woven 1" ribbon. It would've woked great if I wasn;t having blurry vision and my right hand worked correctly after my stroke.

Grandbaby Love It!

My husband's newest grandbaby all of a sudden was 4 months old when I saw this pattern. I got to work and made 5 new bibs and 3 bunny ears teethers. I wrapped those around the teething rings that go in the freezer. They live out of state from us and when we watched her on a face to face video she was chewing on her fingers. Grandma knew she was ready for the teethers. She loved them. I made them all from a very lightweight flannel I had a bunch leftover from another project. Grandbaby instantly started to chew on the bunny ears as soon as she received them. They also loved the bibs. This pattern was very easy to sew and neither item needs a lot of fabric. It will stay in my rotation for baby gifts bundles. I loved it!

Using for a baby due in July

I've made several of the bibs and teethers to match outfits I made for my friend's grandbaby that's due in July.. Can't wait to hear what the parents think of all the things I've made for them. They live about 8 hours from and my friend.
