I like the overall look but I had to make a few tweaks to this tunic,
I had to make the front piece wider as my front circumference is much more than my back. I did a FBA and added a bust dart. I found the sleeves were too tight below the elbow, so I changed them for those from the Poppie tank. I also wanted a cowl neck to make it more suitable for winter use.
I’m really pleased how it turned out.
This was my first Ellie and Mac pattern, and I was surprised at how easy it was! I thoroughly enjoyed creating this tunic. The pattern was easy and simple to follow, and it came out great!
It was very quick and easy sewing. Pattern well drafted and instructions easy to follow. Love the result.
I was a bit woried about being able to make a nice point but It went really well in the end. I did a plain long tunic version for the summer but I will do a nice color blocked dress version for the autumn as soon as I found my fabric !
I was a bit worried about getting the points nice and neat (specially as I had to do the contrast in 4 pieces), but the instructions, as usual, were so easy to follow! I love it, definitely making another one, or two!

Love how easy this was to make as a beginner, I am not after complicated patterns and this one was so easy to follow. Will now make some into tops and a few more dresss for work.

The style is amazing, the drafting of pattern pieces - a lot of room for improvement. Given the few pieces to this pattern, there is no indication of where the bustline is, the natural waist, where to lengthen or shorten the pattern? It has a relaxed and a fitted option, with no finished garment measurements for either.... I made the fitted XL and it fit my size 8 manikin perfectly :D I created this with an absolutely beautiful hand dyed, bamboo stretch- exactly as recommended. It will take playing around with this one a while to achieve the finished fit desired. 3 stars because The style is absolutely adorable.

I've made a fitted 3/4 sleeve tunic length so far. The pattern was super easy to follow and I was wearing my shirt in no time. Looking forward to making a short sleeve dress version for summer next!
