A fantastic pattern very easy to make, instructions clear and simple and lots of different adaptations. I've made 2 now one sleeveless knee length and one with short sleeves. Love them, they are so easy to wear.

South Shore Romper

I found the instructions very good It was a very easy sew The fit is excellent esp the top The crotch hangs a bit low for my liking but I think it's due to my fabric having a lot of stretch I also because of this had to cut off a long bit of the hem I'm 5foot 5 inches tall Very happy with my make

South Shore romper

As a nervous sewer I approached this with trepidation BUT I am thrilled with it. Pattern is easy to follow and assemble. I've made 3 so far. Short style for my daughter and 2 full leg for me.
So comfortable to wear and toilet breaks are easier than I thought too. Will be making more!

Wearable Mock Up

I think I had the same problem as others and made the top too big. I didn't have enough fabric to make a sash so I drew one for a visual aid. The main reason I'm keeping this a mock up and not just a finished romper is because I didn't stretch my elastic tight enough and so my front center seam and back center seam are both off center 😅. Otherwise it's so comfortable, and was pretty easy to sew. I'm glad Ellie and Mac makes rompers in my size so I can actually try them out

Lovely pattern

I am a beginner and this pattern is easy zi follow for me (non native speaker). Also the size range is perfect for my plus size body and I got compliments for it. I am making another romper now! Also, there are many ideas how to hack the pattern e. g. attach a skirt etc. Well written, also I like that you can select which size to print.

I love that this pattern caters for all seasons and personal preferences in leg length and sleeves. The romper is quick to put together and ridiculously comfortable!

The Jumpsuit/Romper that Fits Most Beautifully

I have made this jumpsuit twice. The first time I did not understand the changes despite getting the correct size. The second time I made all the changes and it was a superstar. This will be my go-to romper/jumpsuit now.

Have made this now in 3 fabrics! Read my review for adjustment tips

First of all, I have been loving all the fun patterns, instruction and videos from Ellie &Mac. This rompers might be my favorite though! Here are my pro tips after making 7 of these.
* the clear elastic adjustment to bring in the shorts/pants waist is fantastic. If you don't have clear elastic, I've had excellent results using soft elastic like lingerie or foldover elastic too.
* using a stretch or jersey needle is critical.
* the arm are a little snug, another review mentioned this as a caution to muscular ladies and I have found this to be very true. Even if you don't have big guns I highly suggest increasing the armhole opening a little and cutting (esp the shoulder portion)of the sleeves a little bigger.
* add length onto the bottom portion of the bodice front and back piece. I added 1.5 inches onto the length at the bottom edge of these 2 pattern pieces. Otherwise I had a wedgie and the top wrapover part was accidentally sexy .
* if you have thin fabric, it looks really nice if you double up the top layers. So double layer just the bodice front and back and it won't be so see throughish. Shorts/pants are blousey enough to get away with one fabric layer.
This shorts rompers is SEW comfortable and I get compliments every time I wear one of these rompers. Perfect travel item too!

South Shore Romper

I am a comfortable beginner. The South Shore Romper was my first attempt at a romper. I lengthened the bodice 2” as I am 5’10”. When I tried it on the crouch was way low. I shortened the bodice, made a few adjustments and it fit beautifully. I wore it to a party and got many compliments. Love the pattern.

Super quick to make!

I wanted to make a playsuit. So decided to try this pattern and I am pleased I did. I cut the pattern out in size xs but ended up taking in further to xxs. I also raised the crotch slightly. I not have just what I wanted and it's super comfortable.
