Poppy Top Sewing Pattern

Love this pattern! Made the sleeves 3/4 length, top is very comfortable and looks good with jeans or stretchy pants. I will be making this pattern again!

I have made 2 poppy tops and I love them! The back detail and the pocket placement lifts this top above everyday plain tees.

This pattern comes together well and I have tried it in 3 different versions to date. Good sizing and comfortable to wear. I have found the pocket works better if you cut it on the fold [Fold at the top of the pocket piece] It looks neater and I have added a decorative top stitch on one of my versions which looks nice. As the buttons/holes are mostly decorative you could simplify the lower back by just stitching the buttons through both layers; saves time and effort. I haven't done so on mine but I think it would look just fine this way. It's a comfortable length to be worn over jeans or leggings.

The Poppy pattern was straightforward enough - I chose to do it all in one fabric, and simply sewed the buttons through the layers without buttonholes.
But I do find your sizing inconsistent. The body is fine, but the shoulders are at least one size too small. I’ll know if I make it again.
I think I’m deciding I actually don’t like working with stretch fabrics.

I've made this in several sizes from xs to 4xl, in varying lengths & fabrics, with & without buttons/poppers.

I've had the Poppy Top in my pattern "to-do" pile for a while. I'm so glad that I made it! I made a straight Medium. The only alternation that I made was in the length. The fit is wonderful through the shoulders and neck and the back detail is fantastic. I plan to make more because the fit is so great. The pattern was easy to follow and the result is perfect. Thanks for such a great pattern!

I sewed two poppy top, to my bestfriend and me. It is easy and very funny, it incorporates several details, to make it extra special. 🌈

I did hacked my top without bouton, I cuted "on fold" on the boutons line to make my back.✂️📍

I LOVE this pattern. I hacked the back piece to cut on fold as one piece and have made quite a few that way! Turned one into a dress also!
