I want you to love what you make and have fun making it.
The Poppy pattern was straightforward enough - I chose to do it all in one fabric, and simply sewed the buttons through the layers without buttonholes.
But I do find your sizing inconsistent. The body is fine, but the shoulders are at least one size too small. I’ll know if I make it again.
I think I’m deciding I actually don’t like working with stretch fabrics.
A lovely top which makes up really quickly with a great fit. The button back is cute and stylish. I will be using this pattern a lot more in different fabric combinations
I love the way this pattern fits. I have made two tops with this pattern, but made adjustments to both. On both, I changed the back to leave out the buttons, and just sew a seam down the back. (I’m not confident enough with my sewing skills to make buttonholes yet.) And on one of the blouse, I changed the sleeves to 3/4 length.
I have now made 10 poppy tops - I love it - it’s a very flattering fit on my body shape - the instructions are easy to follow - this item feels like it’s actually designed with you in mind not just a scaled up smaller persons pattern (if that makes sense!) I love Ellie and Mac patterns xx thank you xx
