I made my Luna Jacket reversible, and it's definitely my favorite jacket. I love the gathered skirt on it.
Everything went together really well but I would change the instructions for the twill tape. I sewed on the hood then realised I would have to follow the stitching line exactly again to put on the tape. I unpicked the hood, tacked one side of the tape to the hood then sewed the hood and tape to the garment I one. This gave me a clean sewing line then I just had to top stitch the other side of the tape done onto the garment. I used a strip of the same fabric rather than twill tape. Twill tape would stabilise the neck better. Also it would have helped to have a close up picture of the top of the zip and where to pin the the start of the hood . I took a bit of time trying different positions become I didn’t want a gap between the zip end and the Start of the hood. Great fit with no alterations. I really pleased with the result and can’t wait to wear it. Hope this review is helpful.
This pattern is very good, there were a few errors, such as the sleeves piece didn't have a marking to indicate cutting it on the fold. Thankfully I've sewn quite a bit so it wasn't too hard for me, but if you are new to sewing I imagine that would be very frustrating. I also found the sleeves to be a bit too slim and very long, which also isn't a big deal and if I make this again (which I probably will because it is a lovely pattern), I will be sure to adjust the pattern at the arms. Other than that, the directions are very good and the photos that accompany it very helpful. I love this pattern company because there are loads of options and they all go up to a 5X, which is amazing and inclusive. I'm looking forward to seeing my next Ellie and Mac pattern.

I have a lengthen/shorten line on the sleeve piece as well since we found in testing that women's arm length varies greatly, even in the same size. I hope this helps!! I've been looking for a pattern to remake my favorite Nordstrom purchase ever - the Lotus sweatshirt jacket. Now, I finally can make my own in any color I want! This fit is perfect and it looks adorable. The pattern is very easy to follow.
