Great pattern with many options. I would love to try a more formal pair with a fly!!
Made for my DH. He prefers more tailored look. Made a full fly front, changed the front pocket, used elastic only in the back and eliminated the cargo pocket. Adjusted for flat seat. I used a poplin. This is the first thing I've sewn for him that he's actually been wearing! Excuse the poor photo, my DH is not a photo fan.
Pretty cool pattern. I did one for hubbie and one for me. For my first short, it turned quite well, altough I didn't complete manage the bump of the bootie (too wide and loose). I still have a lot to learn ;)
Love the board shorts pattern. Changed it up with a zipper fly, a flap and snap for the pocket. After I finished. Hubby requested belt loops and back pockets, so added some welt pockets. Nice fitting too!
I have made two pairs for my husband and I now. They are easy to sew with great instructions. I would have to referred a zip closure instead of Velcro, or at least the option to do either.
I needed to modify the pattern a bit because my husband wanted a zipper and 2 cargo pockets. I decided to use dome closures for the pockets and a button at the waist. Must have turned out OK because he wants another pair!
These remind me of the 1980s/1990s board shorts! I think we called them jams for some reason! Lol
As we are in the midst of winter and lots of snow and ice I won’t be making summer clothes till errr summer it I’m sure they’ll be fine

These are great shorts. Easily customizable and hubby loves how he gets choices to how they look and fit. I did a prototype first with waste fabric...they fit fabulous and now hubby gets to pick material he wants to wear...Thank you Ellie & Mac for an awesome pattern

If you’re lengthening the shorts, I would lengthen the pocket in the same place and not where the markings are on the pocket
