When thinking about Mother's Day, I am flooded with emotion. I think of what it meant to have my first baby girl and how I have loved watching her grow into an amazing woman! She is one of my best friends and I hope that she will feel the same if she chooses to have children of her own someday.
I also think of all the struggles we went through trying to get pregnant with our second child. It was almost six, long years later that I would finally learn that I was pregnant again. I couldn't understand why I wasn't able to get pregnant during those years, and I was angry about it often. However, looking back now, I can totally see that it was the best for me. I grew up a lot and was in a better place to parent another child. I wouldn't change it, even though that was so, incredibly hard.
Then I think of my third baby, a boy. What an enlightening thing to be the mom of a boy. I have learned so much about boys and he has me wrapped around his finger for sure. He is creative and draws the coolest things!
My fourth and last baby girl was the completion to our family. She is independent, determined, and will one day do something amazing! I am sure of it. Being a mother has been an amazing journey for me and without it, I never would have found my love for design and sewing.
