This top is designed to be made using lightweight woven fabrics with a flowing drape. Rayon Challis, Crepe, Cotton Lawn, and other apparel wovens like this work best. Structured woven fabrics are not flattering on this design.

Love the pattern, but don't use chiffon on 1st go, as didn't cut even making elastic hard and didn't set right, and bottom looked tatty
I found this pattern forgiving in the sewing because some of the seams did not need to be 100% neat. I did find one element of the instructions confusing and improvised to get the right look. The fit turned out well and I like to alter my length of elastic around the waist as I personally do not like it too tight. Overall a quick and mostly straightforward sew with a fantastic result.
I made a dress out of cotton woven for my grandmother’s funeral and it was perfect. Great easy sew with easy instructions to follow

It was fairly easy to make as a beginner level sewist. I guess I just wish that the picture that sold me on the pattern was actually what was made. Make sure you look at all the pictures when deciding to buy the pattern.

This is my first ellie and mac pattern I made. The instructions were extremely helpful and easy to read, personally I'm more of a visual learner so the instruction video on YouTube is a huge help!
The fabric I used was polycotton and its so lightweight and airy perfect for summer. I wish it had pockets with it but I think I'll add them when I'm more comfortable at sewing garmets.
As a beginner seamstress (if I can use that word), I made no mistakes as the video instructions were so clear. Such a simple yet beautiful dress perfect for anyone who sews!
I made a top & tunic using two different types of fabric.
I made the tunic length using two-way stretch, floral sateen. It’s perfect for either formal wear or casual, depending on what you pair it up with.
I went on to make the top from some 2 way stretch jersey. I added a waistband and made a sash to go with it. The top is fantastic for more casual wear and looks great with some fitted trousers.
This pattern is such an easy sew and the outfits are a great addition to my wardrobe.
Flattering on my curvy plus size figure and easy to use. I love this pattern! I used a heavier soft velvet fabric, and it still looked and flowed great. I can see how a lighter fabric would work best though.
