Pack your bag back pack

Loved making this / these back packs so easy to follow and make, and look lovely whatever pattern fabric choice is. I made about 14 all as Christmas gifts medium and large sizes and all are loved. Got this pattern due to a wrong fabric type for the Raglan t-shirt arriving so was a great use 😊😊 for the fabric that arrived.

Really clear instructions

I loved making this bag. I made it for my grand daughter to take and leave in nursery to keep her spare clothes in. Every one that’s seen it loves it.

The cutest little bag!

I made this bag in a size small - it is so dang cute! I wanted to use up some samples of upholstery fabric I got in a mystery box and this pattern was perfect for it. I can’t wait to make bigger ones as my new work bag.

Pack your bag backpack

I made this in medium for my daughter, the 1st bag I've ever attempted. The instructions are so easy to follow, it only took a couple of hours and my daughter loves it. Very happy 😊

Pack up your troubles

Excellent pattern, very easy to follow. Lovely results. My daughter was delighted with hers. Another winning pattern from E&M

Backpack

Super easy to make, I did the first one with a magnet, it does not stay closed but it was very nice to have while at the park. The second one, I found a cute clasp to use and it came out adorable! Both were small.

Another winning pattern

I found this a straight forward pattern with amazing results.
I'm using the bag I've made as my daily work bag and have had a lot of compliments. As usual with Ellie and Mac patterns it was easy to follow and there is a wonderful you tube tutorial to accompany the written instructions. They only negative I've seen pop up is the magnetic fastener on the front flap doesn't always stay closed. Now this has never been an issue for me unless I over fill my bag. Some others have overcome this by swapping the closure to a twist lock.

Nice looking, but needs some tweaking

I love the sleek look of the Back you bags Backpack. There is however a problem with the closure about it. Once you fill it up and throw it on your shoulder, the opening gets misaligned and the magnetic snap is not able to keep the thing together. It needs an extra closure strap to keep the sides of the opening together and tucked under that flap. The flap also would benefit from a proper closure like strap and slide buckle, that holds the weight of the fully packed bag better.

Perfect!

This pattern sewed out beautifully! The instructions were easy to understand and my final product was perfect! I did have a little trouble fitting the pattern together though. The instructions for that were a little confusing. But in the end, I got it done! I will be making more of these!

Fantastic Backpack.

This is the first time I've made any bag other than a simple drawstring bag.
Being able to print the pattern A4 and stick together was really helpful. The instructions were perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed making it. The hardest part was sourcing all the hardware.
I will definitely purchase more patterns from you.
Thanks so much
Liz.

Great pattern

A wonderful pattern. Easy to follow and easy to adapt if you wish. I usually dread putting pdf file pages together but this one fitted together perfectly. Plus the three sizes are spot on.

Backpack sewing pattern

I have tried two of the sizes. Large and small. They were both fun and not too complicated to make. But when I have used the large one it snaps back up and the sides pops in a way that the flap doesent cover it. Trying to find out how so solve it. Also. The magnet buttons i chose where not that strong. Maybe bc I chose sew-on buttons. 🤔
