I want you to love what you make and have fun making it.
I have now made 3 pairs of these not so basic pants, and the only problem is choosing what fabric to make them with next! I have only made the wide leg full length (+ 2" because I'm 5'8) all in double brushed poly (or DTY? they are all walmart value cuts with no fabric description). I seriously live in these pants now, because A. they are comfy and cute and B. I have put on a few pandemic pounds and well, they are knit! I do want to try the ruffles eventually, they are oh so cute on all the testers!
I don’t know what took me so long to make these, but these are awesome. I was worried that i would have to grade and adjust the rise, but these were perfect. This is going to be a work staple. I made the wide Capri with no ruffle.
I made the wide leg version without the ruffle twice and they practically fell together it was so easy! I added patch pockets for my 8 YO, and that took as long as putting the rest of the pants together, it was so quick. This is definitely going to become a wardrobe staple.
This pattern is so versatile. You can dress them up or down. I love the ruffle legged. I get so many compliments every time I wear them! Easy to follow directions with beautiful photos.
My first sewing attempt on my new overlocker and I was delighted when everything came together as planned! Would recommend this to any grown ups who have hankered after frill pants
