I really like this pattern it fits spot on. The instructions are very clear especially when you follow Deanna's video she shows each step clearly. I was especially happy with the placket instructions. Super easy. I've done it differently with other patterns but found them difficult. My grandson looks super in his new shirt.

Was looking for something to make a Wednesday Addams style top. Preppy was a great choice and not too difficult to do. Great pattern.
This pattern turned out so well. I was a little worried about it turning out nice so I let it sit for quite a while. Then my grandson picked this pattern for me to make him a shirt so I had to give it a good. I thought it turned out very nice. The instructions and even the design of the placket made it super easy. Just to be clear, my 4 year old grandson made all the fabric/color choices!!
This was actually very easy to follow. I was extremely worried about trying something like this but it turned our to work great ! Instructions were so easy to follow
Although I am a relatively experienced dressmaker, I had never before tried a polo shirt style placket and collar. I’ll admit that collars are never my favourite part of a garment but I wanted to give this a try as my son (7) has taken up golf abs I thought it would be nice to make him some suitable shirts.
It was so easy. The instructions were clear and I even found a video tutorial too.
I’ve been so pleased with the results that I’ve made two for my boy and another for my daughter who is nearly 12. They both love them.
Tip tip: I cheated a bit with the buttons. I just sewed the bottom two buttons straight through the placket and the top one on one side. It fits over the head easily and makes it such a quick and simple make.
Both my son and I love this too as an everyday and fancy dress up option!

Exactly the pattern I was looking for. I hadn’t done a placket in quite some time but the instructions made it easy.
Worked great. Only things I changed was making a memory press on the sleeve hems before closing sleeve/side seam to make sewing the tiny hem a little easier. I also increased to a 1” hem on the shirt and used hem tape to hopefully prevent it from curling up as knits do.
I made sizes 12m, 5T and 7 and they all fit.

I sewed this polo shirt while watching the YouTube video Kid's Preppy Polo Shirt Sewing Tutorial. I loved it. This video made this project soooo much easier. I also love the presenter DeAnna. I made 3, 2 short sleeved and 1 long sleeved. I will be making at least 3 more. They are for my granddaugher and to share with her friends. How nice for the girls to dress alike! I am an Ellie and Mac fan now.

This is a "high" beginner pattern because of the snap placket -the instructions are great, the final product looked soooo good on my 6 year old grandson and fit to measurements. I will make this again, and again!
