Kids Going Home Sweater Sewing Pattern

Lovely straight forward pattern with a lively finished look. This pattern was an easy make. The top looks great. It’s a present so I’m hoping the recipient likes it.

I made the shirt versions, both with and without the cowl. Both are a quick and easy make, and with the cowl was a huge success according to my 5year old.

So I'm not an experienced sewer and really wanted to have a go at making a sweatshirt with ribbing. I looked at various patterns and this one was very reasonably priced with only a few pattern pieces...and the age range covered my two grandchildren, aged 1 and 2, and also my daughter who is 13. I have made the sweatshirt for my grandson and the dress version for my granddaughter. I have just received the fabric to make my daughter one. So, so quick and simple to sew...why was I so worried?! I made the Kids Going Home tunic length for my granddaughter in a soft, warm leopard print. It went together in about 30 minutes. Such a fun project and she’s going to get a lot of wear out of it!

Easy to follow, true to size.

I really love this pattern and expecially that you have 3 lenght between you can choose, and that Is fast to sew.

The pattern was very easy to put together. I found the pattern would be a very tight fit for my granddaughter, we adapted the pattern to make it wider, and on the sleeves also. I think the neck ribbing needs to be a little wider. Overall another lovely pattern. We also added a pocket and on the cowl my granddaughter wanted more of a snood to come up over her head..that also worked well.

Easy to follow the instruction and easy to sew. Perfect pattern for kids for color blocking.

This was such a perfect pattern, easy instructions and a quick sew.

I absolutely love this pattern! I can't say if I decided to do the neckband differently for ease or if it was written that way, because I have now made enough of them I no longer look at the instructions.
Favorite hack- using woven fabric in the front to open up my options!
Tip- use ribbon and a permanent ultra fine too marker to label size.

I used this pattern to make two adorable sweaters for Halloween. The pattern is so easy and adorable.

I made this in a sweater knit for a more dressy look. The cowl neck really elevates this to an item that could be worn in an office.
I also loved that the entire sweater was completed on the Serger! Amazingly quick!

I love this sweet top/dress and I love the different options! And pattern with versatility is well worth it! It’s great for beginners too! The pattern is easy to follow along. I think I’ve made about 6 so far for my kiddos!
