He loves these so much, to make the fabric stretch a little I opted for no pockets but when I make them again I'll be sure to add them. A nice quick sew too.

Even though I just made the pair today they're already my son's favorite! He's says it's super comfy and we all agree they look great on him. Pattern was so straight forward I didn't even really need the instructions, great fun sew for the day.
Made the high tide boardshorts in swimwear size 14 to my son. Hade no swimpants in size home so sew the high tide above knee to him a werry happy 10 year old boy going to school on swimclass whit new swimwear today, love the pattern but would like more sizes for husky kids

These board shorts are so simple to make, and look so professional when finished.
I haven’t used the pattern yet, but my suggestion is that you put the size on each pattern piece. I printed a size off, but now I can’t remember what size I printed. And as I use paper patterns which I keep, when the next year rolls around, I like to be able to identify the sizes I’ve already printed.

So simple and straightforward, and my toddler loves them!
Love the pattern! Omitted side pockets but added in seam pockets in a contrast fabric to match waistband - perfect for my skinny but long-legged son!
Made matching swim trunks for my boys and they love them. Only things I would change are, leave a bit more room in the casing - 1 inch casing for 1 inch elastic makes for a fight, and also it would have been good to have instructions for attaching the trunks to the briefs as I used sport mesh for the briefs, but I figured it out after some clipping and testing to be sure I could get it right side out again. Overall a very nice result and I'll be making them again.
