It was not as difficult as it looked and very flattering. My only problem was I never could figure out how to shorten the torso but even with the twist sitting a little lower, it’s still very pretty.
I loved this top and it was not hard to make with the help of Deanna (?sp). She does such a great job with the knot. I had a hard time with the neck so I just did a v-neck band. I may have a problem with my sewing machine or it was probably something I did wrong but I think it looks ok with the band. I haven’t hemmed it yet because I’m getting my new Coverstitch today.
I thought this was going to be tricky. However as usual the instructions and accompanying you tube video made it easy to follow along. The result was a very flattering dress. I made a party dress with glittery fabric but I'm definitely making more in simpler fabric soon for everyday wear

Great results from a pattern that is more straightforward than you first imagine
I made 2 versions of this with different fabrics, one as a trial. I learned from the effort and changed the interfacing on the neckline to the recommended stretch interfacing but still felt it didn't sit as well as it could. It's possible that the copy shop pattern wasn't clear enough because of the overlap of sizes, but the gifted final make was very well received
With help of tutorials and video it was easy to put together.
I made a mistake with round back adjustment; the neckline got too big. Problem solved with a removable cowl.
Next time I will set the knot higher up (and wear a better bra)
Such a great pattern! I already used it twice!
The knot was fairly easy to do. I think next time I'll make as a top because the back of the dress hemline is curved and doesn't quite sit right with the straighter front hemline. It seemed to stick out. I tried to modify it but not quite happy with it. Unusual because I normally love all the patterns I buy from E&M.
After three attempts I don't have a wearable garment. The first was too large and the next two, too small. I had trouble with the twist part of the equation also. Somehow something doesn't seem right with the way it lined up.

The twist is great for hiding the middle section for those of us on the fluffy side. The only thing I would change is the depth of the round neckline. It was a little too deep for me with the size I needed. But that is an easy change.
Have had compliments on this dress. Have made two so far. Easy to make. Probably for advanced beginner up.
When making this dress I would recommend using a floral or busier print. The pattern was easy to use, just a lot of pieces. I would recommend!
I have now made this dress/top 5 times. It's perfect. The directions are stellar.
The shirt is very nice and the instructions are clear. But the sleeves have no markings and the side pieces don't fit. One is bigger than the other.

My new favorite! My first I made with a fabric I did not love just in case the pattern didn’t look good on me. Huge mistake, I love the pattern so had to make another one right away in a fabric I liked. I did watch the video while making. Cute, flattering pattern!
Fantastic pattern with a very clever twist! Surprisingly easy to create. I really hate the way the neckline facing area looks. On future dresses I will just use a band.
Only the 2nd dress I’ve ever made and it went well! My only concern was with the angel sleeves where the fabric underside shows...
I made the top with long sleeves out of a beautiful rib knit and it turned out beautiful! I had to watch the video to get the twist right and had absolutely no problem. I’m already planning on making another top with a different type of fabric. My closet is full of all my EAM makes and I’m so proud of that!
