I made a hip length top with this pattern. I like the fit at neckline and arms eye. For the lower gathered part I cut a trapezoid shape instead of a larger rectangle so as not to be so bulky at the upper seam and less fullness overall. It looks great with my modifications. Also paired it with shorts (Ellie & Mac) of same fabric
This is such a versatile pattern, it is great for a summery dress. Works equally well to make a longer dress or even a top and perfect for mixing fabrics too.
I have made two of these, one with the lining and one with a binding. I haven't made clothes for myself for a long time because I am a difficult size (4'11", 92 lbs), so I bought poorly fitting clothes and wore those instead. With YouTube and suggestions from others I was able to make dresses that fit well, and it was actually not as difficult as I thought it would be to adjust the pattern.

This is my first successful knit fabric project (and my first Ellie and Mac pattern) and I am very pleased with it! I am a relatively new sewer, and after failing at another knit project I did a lot of research about my sewing machine and watched videos. This turned out perfect and I am so excited to make another one and try out some other patterns. I feel like I have so many options now that I have got the hang of knit fabric. Plus since we get to print the patterns, we can sew the same project in different sizes for other people! My picture is not the greatest since I have been sewing since I had my first cup of coffee of the day!
I have been longing for a peplum top for a while. I found this pattern and couldn’t wait to try it. I shortened it quite a bit because I wanted it to be more of a top instead of a tunic. The burrito method was a lot of fun also. I will be making more options in this pattern for sure.

I love how easy this pattern comes together. I have four Sunny Day Tunic dresses because the fit and design are so perfect. I am a taller gal (5'10"), so I did have to add 2" to the bodess for the best fit. You can make this super dressy or casual based on fabric choice and hem line, so it is really a must have pattern for any occasion.
I used stash fabric I'd bought for a dress to wear to my daughter's college grad in 2020. Since her commencement was on a laptop in our kitchen I never made the dress.
Then I found E&M patterns and used it for this pattern.
Fit was perfect and instructions so easy to follow. I made it in an afternoon. I love the fully lined bodice.
This is a really great pattern to learn the “burrito” method of sleeve/neck finishing. Very flattering and easy to finish.

This is a beautiful look and easy to sew. I only have it 4 stars because I live in Florida so lining dresses provide an extra layer that is uncomfortable. I have enough experience to make bands, so I think the pattern should have band options for those of us who don't want the layers.
