Poppy Top Pattern
This is my first attempt at making the top. There were new techniques to learn but the instructions took me through it.
lovely versatile top and easy to make especially if you follow the video available on youtube. and there are so many colour combinations that you could do. I think I will be filling my wardrobe with these tops.
The poppy top was actually my first Ellie and Mac sew. I participated in the sew-a-long which made it enjoyable. Thanks to the Poppy Top (and YouTube!) I learnt how to make buttonholes with my machine, though I still sew on the buttons by hand. Because it was also the first time I sewed on a collarband my shirt turned a bit wonky, but that was user error and not because of the excellent instructions. Practice, practice, practice. Now that I'm a bit more experienced I will definitely be making a second poppy top. It's so fashionable and easy enough for an ambitious beginner like myself. Thanks E&M for yet another amazing pattern!
