Fabric Recommendation:
The Nightfall Cape is designed to be made using cotton woven or knit fabrics. Use your imagination and make this your own. You can line it with soft minky for a warm look or do all cotton woven for a cooler cape. Some testers made it with raincoat material and it turned out super cute. Add trims to really glam it up.

I used this pattern to make some capes for my daughters' Halloween costumes, but I could see how you could make proper outerwear with this pattern as well. They sewed up quickly and easily. This is a very nice addition to my pattern collection.
This came together so quickly and looked adorable! The instructions were easy to follow and the sizing seemed to be right (made size 2 for a 2 year old).

My first time buying a PDF pattern and I am pleased with it. The photographs and instructions were clear. There was even a video tutorial on how to sew the cape. I sewed a Hobbit Cape for my grandson and used snaps instead of a button. I liked the pattern so much that I have bought the adult version as well!
An option on how to finish the cape without the hood and a nice collar would have been nice, but I love this pattern.
My daughter wanted me to make a Cindy Lu costume for my granddaughter and thanks to this pattern it work perfectly.
This pattern was so fun to make and turned out so beautifully! I made the adult one for my mother in law and had the perfect amount of leftover fabric to make the 2T size for my daughter. I lined it with super soft fleece which provides the perfect amount of warmth to wrap her in for going in and out of the car, but the cape Easily moves out of the way to strap her in her car seat safely.
Easy sew and my granddaughter loved it. I used a black velvet with a little stretch and lined it with black fleece for warmth.
