This is a great pattern. However; I didn't like how tight fitting the sleve was at the top of the armscye, so I did the old slash and spread method and gave myself a little breathing room. I made the sleeve out of a more stable stretch broadcloth instead of the knit the rest of the garment was made out of to avoid the slouchy shoulder look. Also there was a lot of unnecessary fullness at the back where the gathers are, so I just attached a tie at each side seam to get a more fitted look. Would I recommend, yes. But, please, do a toile first.
A really simple make and such a beautiful result. Even my husband said how much he liked it without prompting lol! Love the lined bodice but one thing I will do differently next time is to baste the two bodices together after sewing the neck as my knit was slippery and was hard to keep them together when attaching the skirt and sleeves.
I was looking for a loose summer dress, found this , looks perfect, just need the fabric
I made this dress out of DBP from Girl Charlee, it was so quick and easy to make , I love how it turned out, I will make more!
I made a size large in DBP fabric. I am a size 8/10. The fit was perfect for me. Pattern was easy to follow
I am very pleased with this make. Easy to wear.
