My greatest wish for you, is to dream big, create fearlessly and go after the things that bring you and those around you joy!

I found my love of designing and sewing when I had my first daughter, Aubrey.  I wanted her to wear the cute, boutique style clothing I had found online, but I couldn't afford it.  I decided to ask for a sewing machine for Christmas and proceeded to teach myself to sew.

Along the way, I realized that I had something special when it came to putting fabrics together and I loved the adorable creations I was making.

I began selling clothing online with the encouragement of family and friends.  I learned new and better ways to make them each day and continued to grow my business.  Ten years later, with a successful business, I wanted to give back.  I decided to offer sewing patterns for the dresses I sold in my boutique for those who couldn't afford them.  To me, this was giving back to where it all began for me.

From there I was hooked. Designing sewing patterns was so fun and I found that the more I worked at learning how to draft patterns, the better I became at it.  I have been designing patterns since 2012, and there is nothing I love more.

Manda

Executive Personal Assistant

Hi there! I am Manda and I live in the Netherlands. Married to a wonderful man and mother of a beautiful 5 years old girl. After getting my degree in Business Management & Economics, I’ve worked for 15 years or so in several jobs in management & HR consultancy.

Three years ago I decided that I wanted to stay home with our daughter and I love that I’ve gotten that opportunity. After my daughter was born, I discovered my passion for sewing, and later on for pattern testing. YouTube and Facebook provided me with the tools to sew my first items. I love to keep learning, sewing brings me so much joy! Pattern testing is my second passion, the first test I did was for Ellie & Mac. I loved it so much that I stuck around! The pictures I take of my daughter in her outfits are becoming great memories already.

I am Lindsey's personal assistant & admin at Ellie & Mac. Working with Lindsey and our team is so much fun. She is a talented designer and I love being involved in this amazing company!

Lakeisha

Pattern Writer & Photographer

Hi, y’all! I’m Lakeisha! I’m a stay-at-home mama to a 10 and 3-year-old girl and boy, living with my husband in Tennessee. I taught myself to sew when our daughter was 2, but I was active duty Navy at the time and didn’t have much time to learn the craft. 6 years later, after our son was born, I started itching to sew again and dusted off the machines. I slowly reintroduced myself by making burp rags, blankets, bibs and small things like that. In 2017, my husband surprised me with a serger, after hearing me talk about knit fabrics for far too long. In 2018, I fell into the world of PDF patterns and online fabric groups and my true love for creation revealed itself to me. I first tested for Ellie and Mac in August 2018 and absolutely fell in love with the process and all of the patterns. My entire family loves and fits the patterns well, so let’s just say that our closets have grown substantially since then.

I do a little of everything around here. You’ve probably seen myself or family in patterns from testing. I help moderate the Facebook group, I help photograph steps and write pattern tutorials. I also compile the beautiful tester photos in the group albums for everyone to see. I am in awe of what Lindsey has created, and I can’t envision a better, more accepting, more respectful, more inclusive and diverse team to be a part of. I’m so, incredibly honored to be here and share my passion for sewing, as well as to learn, be inspired, and grow alongside y’all!

Felicia

Customer Service Specialist

My name is Felicia Kennedy, and I work as a customer service representative and pattern tester organizer for Ellie and Mac. I currently reside in VA with my amazing husband and 3 year old daughter.

I started sewing 2 years ago. My mother passed away and while I was looking through her belongings, I found a sewing machine. I thought it would be great to see some of my daughters clothes. Little did I know it started an obsession. I love Ellie and Mac Patterns, they are easy to understand at any level of sewing and they fit plus sizes. That was a win win for me. I hope you fall in love with Ellie and Mac patterns too.

Sonia

Marketing Manager

Hi friends! I’m Sonia, Marketing Manager here at Ellie and Mac! I am addicted to all things DIY, with my first love being scrapbooking. From learning to scrapbook when I was 10, I then delved into a lifelong mission to learn how to create *all the things*. I have since taught myself photography and photo editing, graphic design, wedding decor and event styling, jewelry making, apothecary making (candles, lotions, etc.), brush lettering, vinyl crafting, and so much more.

That said, I am fairly new to the wonderful world of sewing. When my little boy was born a few months ago, my amazing hubby and I decided that I would stay home with him, and I have loved every second! I started sewing not long after he was born, and have become slightly obsessed with sewing all of the mommy and me outfits! (They’re hard to find for boy moms!) I’m a self-taught seamstress; I have learned mostly from Youtube. Once I discovered that I could join in the pattern testing process, that accelerated my learning very quickly in working through many techniques and apparel styles. I’ve loved learning how to sew and the amazing, tangible and utilitarian pieces that come with it are a huge bonus! Sewing is one skill that will always be necessary, and so I’m thrilled to be a part of the Ellie and Mac team and be involved in the evolution of this amazing company and the gorgeous styles Lindsey creates!

Je'Tua

Instagram Assistant Manager

Hey Yall! My name is Je'Tua Amos. I am from Mississippi. I am married to my wonderful husband, Robert and Mommy to 4 handsome boys: Kaleb, Tyrese,Eli, and Titus. I have a Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences and a Masters of Arts in Teaching, Elementary Education. In 2013, I made the decision to leave my career as a Middle School Science Teacher in order to homeschool my own children.

I grew up watching my mother construct beautiful garments on her sewing machine. My passion for the craft was reignited in 2011 after a desperate attempt to find a decent outfit. YouTube was my greatest resource of information and helped to flourish my skills. My affinity for sewing led me to Ellie and Mac. Initially, I signed up for a Wacky Wednesday promotion, and eventually became a part of the family.

I am a Moderator and Instagram Assistant Manager for Ellie and Mac. I actively pattern test as well. It's amazing to see the creative takes one can do with the same pattern. I look forward to seeing your creativity as well! You will find looks that your whole family can enjoy.

Nyeca

Videographer/Customer Service

I am Nyeca Chino. I currently provide videography, moderating for the EAM group, and assist in fit testing for Ellie and Mac. I have a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I spent eleven years serving as a Medic in the U.S. Army because I love people and wanted an outlet where compassion met with helping services.

I have been married to my sweetheart, a retired Army pilot, for the past 18 years. Together we have two children who keep us on our toes and two Ragdoll cats who are my favorite furballs. I enjoy volunteering at my children’s schools, baking, and sewing. I have been sewing for the past 8 years, (self-taught), and I recently closed a small shop where I enjoyed creating little wearable pieces of joy. Now, I am happy to be with EAM where I can continue to learn and grow.

Marieke

Pretesting Manager

Hi, I am Marieke and I live in the Netherlands with my husband and our four kids. Two boys from 14 and 10 and two girls, they are 7 and 5 years old. My husband is from Germany and after the birth of our second son, we decided to move to Germany and I became a stay at home mum. Although I was happy with that opportunity and life was busy, after the birth from my youngest I needed something for myself. I bought a sewing machine spontaneously and I never stopped sewing. The day I was searching on Facebook if there maybe was a sewing group…Well, my life changed... Ellie and Mac was one of the first PDF pattern companies I got to know and I was hooked. Not only because of the diversity of the great patterns, also because of the community. It was like a warm bath. I started testing for EAM pretty quick after joining the group, got my papers at the Burda Academy and now I am a Burda advanced teacher too. I love to help other people and take the time for every question. My goal is to make people proud at themselves. A little bit over a year ago we moved back to the Netherlands again and slowly after a rough time we all are feeling settled. I am lucky to be part of the team. We are the faces of the company which is a big responsibility too. I love we can bring people joy at sewing, they learn and are happy with their makings. I am happy to see members growing in their skills and are getting confidence more and more. I love to see EAM growing every day and I am excited for everything what is coming next!

Nellie

Head of Adjustments

Hello, friends! I’m Nellie Bray and I grew up in a tiny farming town in Idaho. After earning my Associate’s degree, I met the man of my dreams and we settled down to finish my Bachelor’s degree to be a teacher. Three years later I became a mom, graduated in English instead of Education, and learned teaching may have been what I was good at, but it wasn’t what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a full-time homemaker. That Christmas I was given a sewing machine, some fabric, and a pattern for pyjama pants. I used that pattern and probably made every mistake possible. Inside out, upside down, twisted jammie pants that we couldn’t even wear, but I made them! Each Christmas for the next several years I would bust out that machine and make some of the most terrible jammies you’d ever see!! But I never gave up! It didn’t take long for me to start sewing crayon carriers and bathrobes and then maxi skirts. I had no idea what I was doing, but I was determined to do it. At one point I decided to make a fancy skirt for family photos and needed a shirt to match.

Fast forward about 6 months, I was finding that the shirts I was making didn’t fit me the same as the testers. I started to ask questions about wrinkles, pulling, low necks, and loose sleeves and discovered that I needed an FBA to make my tops fit well. After a bunch of research and finally getting brave enough to cut my patterns for adjustments and I found I had even more unanswered questions and learned a full bust adjustment would only be the beginning of the pattern alterations I would discover, research, learn and teach. This has been a wild and crazy ride, especially being completely self-taught, but I have met and worked with some of the best through all this research and discovery.

One of the most important things I’ve learned is that no one knows your body as well as you do and no one can decide how you will be comfortable but you. Your comfort in the clothes you make yourself is paramount. Comfort and pride give confidence. Confidence will make you beautiful! And I want everyone to feel as if they are beautiful because they are! Nowhere embodies and encourages this feeling of confidence and beauty more than Ellie and Mac. I wouldn’t dream of being anywhere else!
