This was my first patterned garment and it was really easy to follow and put together. I did miss where I was supposed to stretch the sleeves to fit but I jumped on the Facebook group and they helped me out.
Tee Dress Women's Pattern
Although I have six dresses (which I always get compliments on- even from complete strangers) made for me from this pattern, this is my first time to sew from PDF pattern. It was very easy to print and glue together. I love that you can print just one size! The only thing that would have helped me would be a layout diagram for how to place the pattern pieces on the fabric. Other than that I love it. I WILL be purchasing more.
I have only ever made one other pattern from Ellie & Mac (Breezy Dress) and just LOVED how it fit straight out of the packet/printer, so I have purchased a load more. This is no exception on fit, it was as if it was drafted for me personally. However, my problem is that I am a lady in my later years of life and I'm not sure that the 'up and down' of the modern hemlines are quite me, so I straightened mine. And I think that might be why, it hangs strangely on me at the sides? Or, it could be that it is a true t-shirt fabric and doesn't quite have the drape needed to carry the style of the dress off. Having said all that, I AM learning to love it! Every time I put it on, I like it more and more! I will make my next one (yes, I will be making more) in a drapier fabric . . . perhaps a viscose jersey! I WILL definitely be making more Ellie & Mac's, that's for sure!
