This was my first ellie and mac pattern and I absolutely love how its put together honestly the easiest pattern to follow. I love all the information/instructions that come with it -so helpful for a beginner. I planned on it taking me weeks to complete and I had most of it done in one weekend
On the home stretch making this coat! This is my first time using an online pattern and has been a positive experience. Watched the YouTube tutorial first and happily, the whole project went smoothly. Never used my seam ripper once! The only change I made to the pattern was to cut the back piece slightly shorter due to the more casual type of fabric I chose. I would choose to leave the length on a dressier, more formal style. Will try the ladies version next.
Women & Girl's Duchess Jacket Pattern Bundle
I am fairly new to sewing clothing. I bought the patterns because they are stunning. I feared they’d sit like many of my other patterns, filed away on my computer. I did the “sew along” to give me a bit of accountability. The pattern goes together fairly simply. I do suggest watching the videos to help with some of the trickier parts - sleeves and lining and turning them the correct way. The pictures in the pattern are great but some of us newbies need that extra help.
