I have Sotheby’s dress to sew first. Haven’t ught the farc yet.
Very easy to follow pattern, detailed directions and pics. I made the most beautiful dress! Follow the size chart and you will get the PERFECT fit!
I was a bit hesitant to purchase this, as I'm short and older -- and when I realized the sleeves are essentially dolman, I was leery of how this would fit. So, I made a muslin out of some cheap knit, made it short, and wow! It actually looks good! I'm not sold on having all the skirt weight gathered to a cross-wise knit because there is some puckering/stretching going on. I'll stabilize the waist (under bust) area of the bodice for my next project with some lightweight non-stretch tape. Note: I'm 5'1", B-cup, and typically wear a RTW size 10. I sewed the medium and it fit perfectly.
I have not used the pattern yet, but it looks good to me! I am looking forward to making the dress for summer wear.
